6-Day Istanbul & Cappadocia with Balloon Flight

Your itinerary

1. Day1

   Arrival in Istanbul

   Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free: wander down to the waterfront, sit in a café with a glass of tea, and let the city introduce itself.

2. Day2

   Istanbul city tour

   A guided day among the treasures of the old city. Stand under the vast dome of Hagia Sophia, visit the Blue Mosque and the ancient Hippodrome, and explore the courtyards and treasury of Topkapı Palace, subject to opening days. End with free time to lose yourself in the Grand Bazaar.

3. Day3

   Istanbul to Cappadocia

   A short domestic flight takes you to Cappadocia, where your guide is waiting. Spend the afternoon among the rock-cut churches of Göreme, the mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys of Paşabağ and the strange, animal-like rocks of Devrent Valley, often called the Valley of Imagination.

4. Day4

   Hot-air balloon and Cappadocia

   An early start, and worth every minute: your hot-air balloon lifts off at dawn and drifts over the valleys as the light turns the rock pink and gold, weather permitting. After breakfast back at the hotel, explore more of Cappadocia's valleys, rock formations and historic sites with your guide.

5. Day5

   Cappadocia to Istanbul

   Descend into one of Cappadocia's underground cities, a maze of tunnels and rooms carved deep into the rock, and take in the panoramic viewpoints before your transfer to the airport. Fly back to Istanbul for a last evening in the city.

6. Day6

   Departure

   Breakfast at the hotel, then a private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
