Frequently asked questions

Are your tours private?

Yes. Every tour is private, for your party only, from the moment we meet you at the airport until we drop you off at the end. We run the tour for one traveller or for two just the same, and you never share the guide or the vehicle with strangers.

Is Turkey Trip Company a licensed travel agency?

Yes. Turkey Trip Company is operated by Tatil Sihirbazı Travel, a TÜRSAB licensed Group A travel agency (licence no 13449), based in Kaş and organising tours in Türkiye since 2005.

How do I book a tour?

Send us the request form or a WhatsApp message with your dates, the number of travellers and what you would like to see. We design an itinerary and send you a personal quote. When you are happy with it, you pay a 20% deposit and we confirm the booking.

How much is the deposit, and when do I pay the rest?

We take a 20% deposit to confirm the booking. The remaining 80% is paid on the day the tour starts.

How can I pay?

You can pay by credit card through a secure payment link, or by bank transfer.

How far in advance should I book?

There is no minimum notice period. Booking early is still best, as it gives the widest choice of hotels, guides and balloon flights.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel two months or more before the tour starts, we refund 50% of the deposit. For cancellations less than two months before the start date, the deposit is not refundable.

What happens if a balloon flight or boat trip is cancelled because of the weather?

If an activity such as a hot-air balloon flight or a boat trip is cancelled because of the weather, we refund it.

What is included in the price?

A private tour usually includes your guide, hotels, a private vehicle with a driver, and airport meeting and transfers. Every quote lists exactly what is included, and we can adjust it to what you need.

Does the price depend on the number of travellers?

Yes. The price per person depends on the size of your group, as the guide and vehicle are shared between fewer or more people. Your quote is calculated for your own party.

Which languages do your guides speak?

Our tours are guided in English. Russian, German and French speaking guides are also available, depending on the guides' schedules on your dates.

Can the tour be adapted for children, older travellers or limited mobility?

Yes. We adapt every tour to the people travelling: the pace, the walking, the hotels and the vehicle. Tell us about your group when you write and we plan around it.

Do you help with visas and travel insurance?

Travellers arrange their own visa for Türkiye. If you would like travel insurance, we can help you arrange it.

Is Istanbul the capital of Turkey?

No. The capital of Türkiye is Ankara, chosen by the new republic on 13 October 1923. Istanbul is the country's largest city, home to more than 15 million people, and its historic heart: as Constantinople and then Istanbul, it was the capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires for almost 1,600 years. Many travellers visit both, pairing Istanbul with Ankara's Museum of Anatolian Civilizations on the way to Cappadocia.
